1 Bag Grown In Idaho Homestyle Mashed Potatoes
1 lb Ground Beef
½ C Yellow Onion, diced
½ C Bell Pepper, diced
½ C Peas, frozen
½ C Carrots, chopped
½ C Celery, chopped
½ C Beef Broth, low sodium
1 T Garlic Cloves, minced
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 T Corn Starch
1 T Tomato Paste
1 T Creole Seasoning
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 T Garlic Powder
1 T Onion Powder
1 tsp Paprika
1 T Olive Oil
DESCRIPTION
These Mini Creole Shepherd’s Pie are the perfect addition to any weeknight dinner or holiday celebration. Grown In Idaho Homestyle Mashed Potatoes are topped over creole spiced beef and vegetables and cooked in the Air Fryer for a comforting meal. In partnership with Air Fryer Papi.
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet on medium heat. Brown ground beef until cooked. Drain fat.
Add bell pepper, celery, and carrots. Cook for 3 minutes.
Add onion, garlic and creole seasoning. Cook for an additional 2 minutes or until soft.
Add corn starch and mix. Add tomato paste, beef broth, worcestershire sauce and peas. Stir well. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until sauce has thickened.
Prepare Homestyle Mashed Potatoes.
MICROWAVE: Pour half bag of potatoes into a microwave safe dish. Add ¼ cup of water; cover. Cook on high for 5 minutes. Mash and stir potatoes and replace cover. Cook on high for 5 more minutes. Let stand 1 minute. Stir before serving. Since microwave ovens vary in power, adjust your cooking time as needed.
STOVETOP: Place half bag of frozen potatoes in saucepan. Add ¼ cup of water; cover. Cook on Medium heat for 13-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let stand 1 minute. Stir before serving.Divide among 7 ounce ramekins. Top with Grown In Idaho® Homestyle Mashed Potatoes.
Air fry at 350 for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
