3 Grown in Idaho® Crispy Hash Brown Patties, from 22.5 oz pack
1/4 lb ground beef
2 slices thick-cut bacon
1 tbsp neutral oil, divided
1 large egg
1 slice American cheese
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1/2 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp hot sauce
Salt & pepper, to taste
Prep your burger patty, shaping and then seasoning both sides with salt and pepper. Don’t cook just yet.
Prepare hash brown patties according to package instructions.
AIR FRYER: Fill air fryer basket with a single layer of frozen patties. Flip patties halfway through cooking time.
OVEN: Spread desired quantity of frozen patties evenly across on 11″ x 17″ baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Bake according to package instructions, turning patties over halfway through the baking time.
SKILLET: Preheat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a 12″ nonstick skillet. Spread frozen patties across cooking surface in a single layer. Turn patties over halfway through cooking.
As hash browns heat, fry bacon. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
In the same skillet, begin cooking your burger over medium-high heat. Fry 3–4 minutes on each side or to your desired temperature. Set aside.
Turn heat down to medium and fry an egg using 1/2 of your neutral oil. Set aside.
Add the rest of the neutral oil to skillet, allowing oil to heat up. Fry the cooked hash brown patties until extra crispy, roughly 2 minutes per side.
Make burger sauce by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, and hot sauce. Season with a pinch of salt.
Assemble your breakfast burger. Start with your hash brown patty base, add bacon, another hash brown patty, burger sauce, burger patty, fried egg, and cheese. Crown with the remaining hash brown patty. Serve immediately.
