Grown In Idaho® Super Crispy Tots are fully cooked and pressed into mini waffles, creating delicious bookends for this inventive grilled cheese style sandwich!
½ bag Grown In Idaho® Super Crispy Tots (14 oz)
6 Slices of Cheddar Cheese
Cooking Oil Spray (of choice)
¼ C Bacon Bits
OVEN:
Preheat Oven to 425 °F. Arrange frozen potatoes in a single layer on a 11” x 17” baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake according to instructions to desired color and crispiness (18-20 minutes), stirring halfway through cooking time.
AIR FRYER:
Preheat air fryer to 360 °F. Fill air fryer no more than half full of frozen potatoes. Cook 9-10 minutes. Slide out basket, shake halfway through cooking time.
Turn on your mini waffle maker and grease it with cooking oil spray.
Add 10-12 cooked tots with no gaps between them to the hot waffle maker. Close the lid and let the waffle cook for 4-5 min or until golden brown.
Carefully remove the crispy waffle and continue with cooking your second one.
Once cooked, leave the second waffle on the waffle maker and add 2 slices of cheddar cheese plus a spoonful of bacon bits. Place the first cooked waffle over it and close the waffle maker once again. Cook for 1 more minute.
Serve hot and enjoy!
