Tot Waffle Grilled Cheese

with Grown in Idaho® Super Crispy Tots

We went and waffle-ironed out the kinks of the classic grilled cheese and made a superior carb-based creation. First, smash any Grown in Idaho® product, like our Super Crispy Tots, into a plane of deliciousness, then fill the space between them with delicious cheddar and bacon. Life changed in one bite.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 bag (14 oz) Grown in Idaho® Super Crispy Tots

  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese

  • Cooking oil spray (of choice)

  • 1/4 c bacon bits

Directions

  1. Prepare tots according to package instructions

    AIR FRYER: Fill air fryer no more than half full of frozen potatoes. Slide out basket and shake halfway through cooking time.

    OVEN: Arrange frozen potatoes in a single layer on a 11” x 17” baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake according to instructions to desired color and crispiness, stirring halfway through cooking time.

  2. Turn on your mini waffle maker and grease it with cooking oil spray.

  3. Add 10-12 cooked tots with no gaps between them to the hot waffle maker. Close the lid and let the waffle cook for 4-5 min or until golden brown.

  4. Carefully remove the crispy waffle and continue with cooking your second one.

  5. Once cooked, leave the second waffle on the waffle maker and add 2 slices of cheddar cheese plus a spoonful of bacon bits. Place the first cooked waffle over it and close the waffle maker once again. Cook for 1 more minute. Serve hot and enjoy!
