Spanish Tot Nachos with Chorizo

Serves 4

  • 1 Bag Grown In Idaho® Super Crispy Tots

  • 8 oz Manchego Cheese, shredded

  • 12 oz Spanish Chorizo, diced and cooked

  • ½ C Tomato, diced

  • ¼ C Pickled Sliced Jalapeño

  • 1 Avocado, diced

  • ⅓ C Sour Cream

  • Splash of Milk or Water

  • Fresh Cilantro, chopped


This easy mealtime pleaser is sure to win over everyone at your table. Try these loaded Spanish tot nachos with chorizo, cheese, tomato, avocado and fresh cilantro!


  1. OVEN: Preheat oven to 425°F.
    Arrange frozen potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 30 minutes or until crispy. Stir halfway through cooking time to ensure even baking.

    AIR FRYER: Preheat air fryer to 360°F.
    Fill basket with half the frozen potatoes. Cook 9-10 minutes. Slide out basket halfway through cooking time and shake.

  2. If using your oven, adjust preheat to 350ºF. Spread cooked tots onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper and season with salt, to taste.

  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese and cooked chorizo over the cooked tater tots. Bake in preheated oven for 4-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Remove from oven.

  4. Sprinkle tots with diced tomatoes, pickled jalapeño, and avocado. Drizzle on sour cream and top with cilantro. Enjoy!
