DESCRIPTION
A weeknight treat for the whole family! This new take on a potato casserole is spiced up with Grown In Idaho® Super Crispy Waffle Fries for extra flavor, combined with carne asada for a protein infusion and some green chile folded in for a little heat. This comes together in minutes and will disappear in seconds! In partnership with Real Food By Dad.
Instructions
-
OVEN: Preheat oven to 425°F. Arrange frozen potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 30 minutes or until crispy. Stir halfway through cooking time to ensure even baking.
AIR FRYER: Preheat air fryer to 360°F. Fill basket with half the frozen potatoes. Cook 9-10 minutes. Slide out basket halfway through cooking time and shake.
-
In a large bowl combine all ingredients except toppings. Scrape mixture into a 3 quart casserole pan. Bake until mixture bubbles and top becomes golden, about 45 minutes.
-
Remove from oven and set aside for ten minutes. Top with peppers flakes, cheese and green onions when ready to serve.
